Brenda Hunt

Mrs. Brenda Sue Lanier Hunt, age 66, of High Pine Church Road, Denton NC passed away on November 30, 2020 at her residence. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd at Greater Vision Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Henry Craven and Rev. Keith Letterman officiating. Mrs. Hunt will lie in state on Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home and the family will receive friends at the residence. Brenda was born on January 23, 1954 in Randolph County to Jack and Ollie Walker Lanier. She was a member of Greater Vision Baptist Church and was the church pianist. Brenda was a graduate of Southwest Randolph High School class of 1972. She worked at Laniers Grocery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald “Bear” Lanier. She is survived by her husband of 48 ½ years, Junior Darrell Hunt of the home; daughters, Bambi Hunt Craven and husband Henry of Seagrove; Brandi Hunt Callicutt and husband Brad of Denton and Brooke Hunt Garner and husband Jeff of Denton; brothers, Harold Lanier and wife Brenda of Denton, Arnold Lanier and wife Debra of Denton and Donald Lanier of Asheboro; sister, Diane Cook and husband Garry of Denton; sister-in-law, Donna Lanier King; grandchildren, Elizabeth McDaniel and husband Joshua, Luke Craven and wife Abby, Rebekah Callicutt, Samuel Callicutt, Caleb Callicutt, Campbell and Nathan Garner.
