Betty Yates

Mrs. Betty Briles Yates, age 70 of Ross Wood Road, Trinity, NC (Jackson Creek Community), died Saturday, December 15 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by Elder Johnny Ray Gardner. Burial will follow in the Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence on Ross Wood Road. Mrs. Yates was born June 12, 1942 in Randolph County to Archie P. Briles and Lela Parrish Briles. She was a graduate of Farmer High School, a retired Hosiery Mill employee and a homemaker and was of Primitive Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clyde R. Yates of the home; a daughter Debbie Small and husband Tommy Small of Asheboro; granddaughters, Dana Varner of Trinity and Trisha Small of Asheboro and a great grandchild, Madison Varner.
