Lola Mae "Pete" Cranford

Ms. Lola Mae “Pete” Cranford age 84, of Denton passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, Aug. 19, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Scott Davis and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Ms. Cranford was born May 22, 1933 in Davidson County to Chris Cranford and Della Lanier Cranford. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and had worked in the house keeping department at Mountain Vista Health Park. In addition to her parents Lola was preceded in death by brothers, Lawton, Richard, Olin, Dewey, Juan, Don, and Bobby Cranford; sisters, Vionna Cranford, Pauline Surratt, and Stella Hunt. Surviving is sister, Iva Surratt and husband Billy G. of Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Billy and Iva Surratt on Surratt Rd. in Denton.
