Dennis Devon Cook

Mr. Dennis Devon Cook, age 46 of Denton died Friday, November 9 at his home. Funeral service for Mr. Cook will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 12 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kelly Creekmur and Mr. Rodney Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Alleghany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mr. Cook was born November 11, 1965 in Stanly County to Larry Devon and Linda Hill Cook. He was of the Wesleyan faith and had served as a minister for as many years as his health allowed. He then began to write grants. He home schooled his children and was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loved fast cars and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hubert Cook. He is survived by his wife Sheree Eleder Cook of the home, one son Brandon Devon Cook of Thomasville, currently stationed in South Korea, two daughters, Lindsey Todd of Norwood and Kelsee Cook Thorne of Denton, his parents, Larry DevonCook and Linda Hill Cook both of Denton and one brother Darren Scott Cook of Denton,and grandmother Doris Holt Cook of Denton In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice of Randolph County, P.
