Zora Glover Jenkins

Zora Ann Glover Jenkins, 83, of Myrtle Rd., Jackson Springs, died Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2025, at Middle Cross Baptist Church, with Rev. David Reynolds and Rev. J.T. Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Springs Cemetery.

Born in New Hanover County on January 8, 1942, she was the daughter of John Eli and Bessie Mills Glover. She had worked at Food Lion in the Deli.

Zora is survived by her husband, Wilbert “Shotgun” Jenkins of the home; son, Eugene Glover (Kay) of Calabash; 2 daughters, Robin Gonzalez (Israel) of Jackson Springs, and Angela Kim Myers (Tom) of Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the home of Robin and Israel Gonzalez on Myrtle Rd., Jackson Springs.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
