Zona Floyd

Zona Surratt Floyd, 79, of Daniel Street Denton, died Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 11 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Bert Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Floyd was born November 4, 1928 in Davidson County the daughter of Beverly Surratt and Clara Shirley Surratt. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband Robert Floyd who died April 28, 2004 and son Mike who died May 22, 1991. She is survived by two daughters Sharon McRae and husband Ronnie of Denton, Kay Sanders and husband Bob of Geneva, Ohio; one brother Jim Wade Surratt of Southmont; three sisters Lucille Wilson of Tyro, Geraldine MacDow of Franklin, NH and Letha Phillips of Taylorsville; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
