Winston(Chief) Lewis

Winston “Chief” Lewis, 71, of U.S. 220 North Alt., formerly of Rockingham, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor conducted by Rev. David Reynolds. He was a native of Horry County, S.C., and an auto mechanic. Surviving are daughters, Brenda Ervin of Hamlet, Lorri Pineda of Gastonia; son, Steve Lewis of Star; one sister; four brothers; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 4-6 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 1150 Okeewemee Road, Troy, N.C. 27371.
