Willis Pierce

Mr. C. Willis Pierce, age 84 of Tysinger Road, Denton, NC died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Thomasville Medical Center. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Gene Little with burial to follow. Mr. Pierce was born January 19, 1925 in Davidson County to Early Pierce and Jessie Metters Pierce. He was a retired upholster with Henredon Furniture Company of High Point and was also a farmer. He was of Baptist Faith, an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Denton Camp # 976 Woodman of the World. Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Louise Garner Pierce of the Home, a son, Richard Pierce and wife Ruth of Charlotte; a granddaughter Maranda Pierce of Oklahoma City, OK.;a brother Virgil Pierce and wife JoAnn of Denton; and a sister Betty McGee and husband John of Midway. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
