Willie Lewis

Mrs. Willie Harris Lewis, age 90, of Old NC Hwy. 109, Lexington, NC died Sunday, June 13 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 17 at Fairview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Rowe and Elder Cleo Robertson. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Lewis was born November 23, 1919 in Davidson County to W. Hayes Harris and Della Hoover Harris. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church where she served as pianist for many years. She was a member of Denton Chapter # 216 Order of the Eastern Star and was a graduate of Denton High School She was a homemaker and worked for Klopman Mills Denton Plant for 5 years and had also worked for her brothers. She was married to Charles B. Lewis who died December 12, 1992. She is survived by her son Charles Michael Lewis and special friend Marci Allen of Greensboro; a sister Mrs. Mary Noble Parker of Old Hwy # 109; and grandchildren Christopher Lewis; Johnathan Lewis and Jeremy Lewis. Food and refreshments will be served in the Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
