EAGLE SPRINGS- Willie Whiteford Cole, age 92 of Big Oak Church Rd., Eagle Springs, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at his residence. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Bensalem Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Tom Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic rites. A native of Moore County, Mr. Cole was born May 31, 1915, the son of Ben Cole and Ida Brown Cole. He was a member of Bensalem Presbyterian Church and a mason. Mr. Cole was employed with Milliken Company in Robbins for 48 years. He is survived by a daughter, Treva Lamonds of Jackson Springs; 3 sons, Larry Cole of Eagle Springs, Max Cole of Greensboro and Fred Cole of Eagle Springs; a sister, Thelma Burns of Ramseur; 2 brothers, Roger Cole of West End and Tom Cole of Montgomery AL; 8 Grandchildren; 7 Step Grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; 11 Step Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Big Oak Church Rd.
