William Burris

William H. (Billy) Burris, age 54 of Ophir Rd., Troy died Wednesday, July 11 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 15 at Henderson Cemetery in Eldorado. Mr. Burris was born July 16, 1952 in Stanly County to William Odell and Martha Harris Burris. He had worked as a fork lift operator with Troy Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by a sister Debbie. Survivors include a son, Dr. Jonathan Burris and wife Jennifer of Asheboro; sister, Sue Hunt of Troy; grandchild, Nathan Burris; niece, Kristie Blankenship and husband Crockett of Troy; great-nieces, Kyndall and Kylie. The family will see friends at the residence of the sister on Ophir Road in Troy. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.
