William (Bill) H Davis

  Mr. William Harris (Bill) Davis, age 79 of Brantley Gordon Road, Denton died Saturday, May 19 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Jamie Draughn. Burial will follow at Liberty Fellowship Church Cemetery.   The family will see friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home.   Mr. Davis was born August 16, 1938 in Randolph County to William Hoyt Davis and Eulah Harris Davis. He was a graduate of Farmer High School. Bill began his employment in the airline industry as an employee of Capital Airlines in Charleston West Virginia. He was associated with United Airline for a number of years, working as a ticket agent in Charleston, West Virginia, Miami, Florida, Greensboro North Carolina and retired in the International division of United in Washington, DC.   He is survived by his fiancé, Sharon Scott of the home; aunts Lillian Bunting of Vista, Ca and Frances Jernigan and husband Hal of Laurinburg and a number of cousins.   In lieu for flowers please send memorials to Farmer Fire Department, 6881 Old State Hwy 49, Denton, NC 27239 or Smile Train, PO Box 96231 Washington, D.C. 20090-6231.
