Wayne Tysinger

Mr. A. Wayne (Slim) Tysinger, age 85 of NC Hwy# 8, Lexington NC died Monday, July 21 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 24 at Faith Baptist Church. Conducted by Rev. Freddie Moretz and Rev. Mike Motley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence. Mr. Tysinger was born September 11, 1928 in Davidson County to Pearlie W. Tysinger and Ida Carrick Tysinger Frank. He was a retired Foreman with Lexington Furniture Industries, Dixie Plant and was a farmer. He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Choir Leader and Sunday School Teacher. He was married to Essie Mae Frank Tysinger who died January 25, 2012. He was also preceded in death by a son, Chester Tysinger, by his parents; by brothers, Mauldin Tysinger, Luther Tysinger and Bryce Tysinger and by a sister Hester Varner. He is survived by sons, Kenneth Tysinger, Darren Tysinger and wife Tracy all of Lexington; daughters, Beverly Lovette, Peggy Haywood and husband Gary all of Denton, and Linda McDaniel and husband Bobby of Hartsville, Tenn.; by sisters, Pat Huffman of Claremont, Becky Hamby of Lexington, Judy Cox of Kernersville, Margaret Bell of Reidsville and Glenda Eason of Denton; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
