W. Perry Surratt

William Perry Surratt, 77, of Piedmont School Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House.

Perry was born on January 11, 1947, in Rowan County to Hobert Surratt and Laura Hunt Surratt. He attended Denton High School and had worked in the textile industry with Klopman Mills prior to becoming Burlington Industries. In his younger years Perry enjoyed hunting and going deep sea fishing with friends from Carolina Beach. He loved NASCAR and was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a very special friend, Sam Jermane.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Annette Shive and husband Brent of Salisbury and Renee Lewis and husband Ricky of Denton; special friend, Emma Jean Saunders of Denton; 4 grandchildren, Taylor Reavis (Brady), Seth Killian, Isiah Nash, and Kale Nash; 2 great-grandchildren, Beau Reavis and Vivian Reavis.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
