Violet Cook Clark

Mrs. Violet Cook Clark, age 82, of Denton died Monday, March 23 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, March 26 at Alleghany United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve McLain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Clark was born February 19, 1927 in Davidson County to William Robert and Jennie Lee Coggins Cook. She was a lifetime member of Alleghany United Methodist Church and had worked in the textile industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Clark, Sr. who died August 17, 1980. Mrs. Clark is survived by one son, Don Clark, Jr. of Denton, one brother, Hubert Cook of Denton, two sisters, Leora Fine of Denton and Sybil Berry of Charlotte, one grandchild and two great-grantchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
