Viola Templeton

Mrs. Viola Hill Cook Templeton, age 104 Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Asheboro, formerly of Denton died Monday, October 1 at Sunbridge A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 4 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Denton Town Cemetery. Mrs. Templeton was born January 18, 1903 in Davidson County to N. Arlindo and Augusta Elliott Hill. She was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Central United Methodist Church where she had served as custodian for the church and had attended the Mary Frances Stubbs Circle. Mrs. Templeton was preceded in death by husbands, J. J. Cook, William Hannon, David Risinger and N. R. Templeton. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Fayne Hill and Kent Cook. She is survived by a daughter,Iris Allen and husband J. B. of Asheboro, a daughter-in-law Etta Hill of Denton GRANDCHILDREN: Faye Hill Vestal, Sandi Hill Hopkins, Randy Cook, Patricia Hill Miller, John B. Allen, III, Mary Sue Hill and Jill Allen Spillane. 12 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday, prior to the service, at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27204 or to Central United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 126, Denton, NC 27239 The family would like to thank the many caring staff members of Sunbridge of Asheboro and Hospice of Randolph County for the love and care of their mother and grandmother.
