VIOLA SURRATT Miss Viola Mae Surratt, age 54 of Tysinger Rd., Denton died Tuesday, April 24 at Thomasville Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 26 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Parker and Rev. Stephen Stowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Community Chapel Cemetery in Thomasville, Miss Surratt was born November 23, 1952 in Guilford County to L. Roy and Lena Mae Hunt Surratt who preceded her in death. She attended Mt. Tabor Community Church. Miss Surratt is survived by a brother William L. Surratt of the home, a sister Mrs. Joe (Alta) Potter of Winston-Salem, niece Mrs. Bobby (Michelle) Goodrich of Greensboro, grandniece, Maguire Goodrich and grandnephew, Carson Goodrich. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home on Tysinger Road.
