Van Kirby Sills

Mr. Van Kirby Sills, age 77, of New Hope Rd., Denton died Wednesday, June 29 at Lexington Health Care. A graveside service for Mr. Sills will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 2 at Liberty Fellowship Church. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 at the cemetery prior to the service. Mr. Sills was born April 28, 1934 in Davidson County to Daniel James “Bud” and Ethel Cranford Wills. He had worked as a sawmill operator and was a charter member of New Hope Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by a brother Billy Joe Sills and a sister Elsie Hogan. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to New Hope Volunteer Fire Department, c/o DeAnna Hurley-Chamberlain, 8445 New Hope Road, Denton, NC 27239
