Vae Hunt Davis

Mrs. Vae Cole Hunt Davis age 90, formerly of NC HWY 109 S. Denton, passed away at High Point Regional Hospital on Friday, October 14, 2016. A graveside service will be held at Denton Town Cemetery on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 4:00 pm conducted by Rev. James Cooper. Mrs. Davis was born May 17, 1926 in Davidson County to James Anderson Albert Cole and Ottie Alberta Varner Cole. Vae was a graduate of Denton High School and Jones Business School in High Point and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She worked at Hill Motor Company for over 40 years and retired from Lexington Motor Company where she had been the office manager. Following her retirement Vae attended Senior Services of Davidson County. In addition to her parents Vae was preceded in death by husband, John William Hunt; second husband, Charles D. Davis; son, Charles Hunt; sister, Pearl Blake; and brothers, Hoyle, Anderson, Paul, Marvin, and Max Cole. Surviving are daughter, Cathy Hunt Jackson and husband Eddie of Denton; grandsons, Keith Jackson and wife Jody of Denton and Davin Jackson and wife Kathryn of Lexington; and by a sister, Sue Tysinger of Denton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 to 3:45 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Cathy Jackson.
