Tura Spoon

Mrs. Tura Davis Spoon age 85 of NC Hwy # 8, Denton, NC died MOnday, November 20 at Mountain Vista Health Park. Mrs. Spoon was born in Davidson County to Will Davis and Essie Jane Myers Davis. She was a homemaker and a self employed beautician. She was preceded in death by her husband James Spoon and brothers Olin Davis and Kermit Davis. She is survived by her sons, James C. Spoon, III and wife Linda; Ricky Spoon and wife Susan all of Denton. A daughter Brenda Floyd and husband Neil of Denton. 4 grandchildlren and 2 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Summerville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Memorials may be made to Summerville Baptist Church, 3134 Summerville Church Road, Denton, NC 27239
