Trula Bowman

Mrs. Trula Cleo Bailey Bowman, age 94, formerly of East Second Street, Denton, NC passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bowman was born on August 20, 1926 in Yancey County to Molt Bailey & Mamie Johnson Bailey. She worked at Burlington Industries as a knitter. Mrs. Bowman attended First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Ancel Moore and James Franklin Bowman; a son, Jay Gilkey; 3 daughters, Kaye Moore Smith, Faye Moore and Raye Hartman; a brother, Luther Bailey and sisters, Verda Lewis & Vilot Jones. She is survived by a son, Clay Moore and a daughter, Mae Frady both of Marion; great neice, Kandi Bremer of Denton and several grandchildren & great grandchildren. Briggs Funeral Home is assisting the Bowman family.
