Troy Pierce

Mr. Troy Henry Pierce age 100 of Cid Road, Lexington, NC died Sunday, February 10 at his residence.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 13 at Walter’s Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Simpson. Burial with military honors  will follow in the Walter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence.   Mr. Pierce was born November 19, 1918 in Davidson County to Ernest L Pierce and Lillie Jackson Pierce. He was a retired employee of North State Telephone Company and a member of Walter’s Grove Baptist Church. He was an Army Air Corp veteran opf World War II.  He was married to Doris Mae Hunt Pierce who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers and by a granddaughter, Brooke Pierce.   He is survived by son, Troy L Pierce and wife Tammie and Thomas Pierce and wife Vickie all of Lexington; daughters, Sylvia P. Stabler and Cindy P Hayes and husband Roy all of Lexington; grandchildren, Chad Pierce, Amber Gordon, Brianna Pierce, Jamie Stabler, Megan Hill, Chris Pierce, Michael Pierce, Jessica Phillips and Ray Hayes, Jr.; 12 great grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice way, Lexington, NC 27292
