Tony Ottis Wooley, 52, of Tabernacle Church Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Wooley Family Cemetery with Masonic Rites. He was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Ducks Unlimited, Quails Unlimited, a member of the Biscoe Masonic Lodge, #437 and the owner of Cow Run Farm Hunting Preserve. Surviving are wife, Novella Wright Wooley of the home; daughter, Michele Cheek of Asheboro; sons, Aaron Clark Wooley and Christopher Ottis Wooley, both of Candor; mother, Katherine Wooley of Candor; sisters, Carolyn Vernon McNeill of Biscoe and Martha Wooley Thompson of Asheville; brother, Gary Lee Vernon of Candor; two grandchildren. The family will be at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor, 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials and flowers may be sent to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford NC 27565.
