Tony Darrell Shaw

Mr. Tony Darrell Shaw, 63, of Hedrick Lodge Rd., Lexington, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Atrium Health in Charlotte from a sudden illness.

Tony was born September 27, 1958, in Davidson County to Jesse Wade Shaw and Dorothy “Dot” Smoak Shaw. He was a member of Floyd Baptist Church. Tony was employed with A.M. Haire since 2009. He previously worked as a heavy equipment operator. Tony loved the outdoors, cooking, and helping people in need. He loved his children, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Max. In addition to his parents Tony was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Staker Shaw, a brother, Danny Shaw, and a sister, Cathy Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet Gordon Shaw of the home; son, Brad Shaw of Denton; daughter, Angie Shaw Everhart and husband Johnny of Lexington; step-son, Brandon Hilliard of Sophia; step-daughter, Candice Lewis of Denton; brothers, Ollie Shaw of Lexington and Frank Shaw and wife Estelle of Thomasville; grandchildren, Anthony and Jacob Everhart, Kyrah, Conhen, and Korben Lewis.

At this time while the family heals, they are going to prepare to have a celebration of life at a later date.
