Tony Vance Buie

Tony Vance Buie, 83, of A.R. Morris Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his residence. A graveside inurnment service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 21, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Collins and Rev. Flynn Richardson officiating. Tony was born January 15, 1940, in Davidson County the son of Luther Vance Buie and Alma Carrick Buie. Mr. Buie was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Summerville Baptist Church. Along with his wife, Peggy they owned and operated Peggy’s Video and He also was a truck driver. Tony had a love for classic cars and was known as a master mechanic. In addition to his parents, Tony was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alora Buie. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Peggy Adams Buie of the home; sons, Todd Buie of Denton and Chad Buie (Janice) of Lexington; daughter, Gina Bourne (Danny) of Denton; 4 grandchildren, Ethan Bourne, Miles Buie, Austin Bourne (Dana), and Colton Buie (Danielle); 3 great-grandchildren, Aerith, Allison, and Jaxxon. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home.
