Tommy Harris

Mr. Arthur Thomas (Tommy) Harris, age 66 of Lanier Hill Road, Denton, NC died Thursday, October 1 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Services will be held at a later date. Mr. Harris was born March 5, 1943 in Randolph County to Thomas Brown Harris and Pauline Harris Harris. He was a retired Petty Officer 1st Class with the U S Navy having served a total of 30 years. He later worked for Cagle Sawmill company. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Martin Harris; sons Arthur Thomas (Art) Harris, III of Denver, and Richard Brown (Rick) Harris of Denton; a daughter Johnnie Rene Harris of Hampton, Va.; a brother, Jerry Don Harris of Asheboro; sisters Glenda Martin of Coleridge and Mary Ann Hughes of Lexington; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
