Tommy Carroll

Mr. Thomas Gene (Tommy) Carroll, age 68 of Spring Street, Denton, NC died Sunday May 16 at Thomasville Medical Center after a short illness with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 19 at First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Vern Peterson. Burial will follow in the Denton Town Cemetery. Mr. Carroll was born March 1, 1942 in Stanly County to Olon Carroll and Ann Wyatt Carroll. He was a long time resident of Denton and was retired from Councill Craft Furniture Company. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Dewey Carroll and wife Mary Snider Carroll of Duluth, Ga.; two nephews Michael Carroll and wife Teri of Buford, Ga.; and Gegory Carroll of Flowery Branch, Ga; He also is survived by two great nephews Andrew and Alan Carroll and two great nieces Ansley and Alyson Carroll. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home.
