Luther Franklin (Tom) Varner, 96, of Ridges Mtn. Rd., Asheboro died Sunday, May 17 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday at Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Hughes Grove Church Road, Thomasville, NC Mr. Varner was born August 13, 1912 in Davidson County to Frank Varner and Maggie Myers Varner. He was a farmer and of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by Nieces & Nephews. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton
