Tim Goodwin

Timothy “Tim” L. Goodwin, 52, of New Bern and formerly of Denton died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at his residence in New Bern. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 1 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Melvin Morton Mr. Goodwin was born July 28, 1957 in Shelby County, Tenn. to Wilfred L. Goodwin and Virgie Loflin Goodwin. He was employed with Hatteras Yachts in New Bern.He was first Married to Sherrill Hicks Goodman who died in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lynn Price Goodwin of the home; by daughters Ashley Goodwin and Lori Melvin both of Fayetteville and Dana Goodwin of New Bern; by step-son Abbie Lane of Illinois; a step-daughter Kimberly Smith of New Bern; his mother Virgie L. Goodwin of Denton; a brother Stacey Goodwin of Denton; a sister Shyrl Parnell of Denton and grandchildren, Malorie, Timothy, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Rylee and Jordyn The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home
