Thomas "Tommy" Myers

Thomas “Tommy” Odell Myers, age 66 of Yates Rd. Denton died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Gary Gibson and Preacher Clyde Akers. Interment will follow at Grubb’s Grove Church of God Cemetery in the family section. The family will see friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence. Mr. Myers was born May 3, 1944 in Davidson County to Coley Richard Myers, Sr. and Mae Rowe Myers. He was self-employed, attended Open Door Baptist Church in Lexington, and was a member of Gideon International and the Stanly County Bee Club. Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Kay Gallimore Myers of the home, son, Tim Myers of Lexington, daughter, Regina Myers of the home, grandchildren Chandler and Camryn Myers, brother, Coley Richard Myers, Jr., and by his mother, and also by beloved dogs, Scruffy and Bear.
