Thomas William Sherman

Thomas William Sherman, 73, of S. School Street, Candor, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Born in Lexington KY on July 24, 1950, he was the son of Lee Roy and Elizabeth Ruth Utterback Sherman.  He had worked in the construction industry and was a member of Marcus UMC and a veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Sherman is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Mikkelson Sherman of the home; son, Clinton Franklin Sherman of Candor; 2 daughters, Cynthia Lorraine Williams and Melissa Lynn Sherman of Candor; sister, Vaunita Weinacht of Crossville TN; grandson, Morgan Thomas Williams.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
