Thomas Russell Britt

Thomas Russell “Tommy” Britt, 69, of Seven Lakes, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehab.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Rev. Jack Phillips and Rev. Michael Free officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.   Born in Moore County on  January 3, 1948, he was the son of Jack and Madge Simmons Britt.  He was a horticulturalist. Tommy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he loved his church, where he was a charter member.   He is survived by his wife, Kay Salmon Britt of the home; 2 sons, Justin T. Britt (Briana) of Jackson Springs, and Eric Britt (Tara) of Aberdeen; daughter, Stacey McElveen (Brian) of Seven Lakes; 5 grandchildren, Ava Grace and Hudson Britt, and Mason, Isabella and Colton McElveen.   The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM prior to the service Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church.   Memorials may be made to the Living Water Christian Camp, PO Box 400, Candor NC  27229   Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
