Theresa Kimbrell

Mrs. Theresa Marie Brown Kimbrell age 52, of Astran Dr. Denton, NC after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, on October 17, 2016 Theresa was born on April 28, 1964 in Richmond, VA to Shirley Feeback Brown and the late Charles D. Brown, and was raised in Powhatan, VA. She is survived by her loving husband Scott Kimbrell; three sons, Danny Taylor of Powhatan, VA, Justin Taylor and fiancee Melinda Gurkin of Climax, NC, and Dustin Kimbrell of Ft. Campbell, KY. Also survived by her mother Shirley F. Brown of Powhatan, VA and sister Kathy Pettit of Hatteras Island, NC Theresa was an avid gardener, loved the many outdoor birds she cared for, and her many trips to Myrtle Beach and other places. The years she lived in Denton, she had worked as a school bus driver and substitute teacher for Denton Elementary School, and manager for Papa's Pizza and office manager for Lay of the Land. Theresa had a smile that would brighten anybody's day. The memories created will always keep Theresa alive in our hearts. A celebration of life service will be held at Denton Wesleyan Church, at 1:00 on Saturday, October 29, 2016. The family will receive friends following the service.
