Mrs. Thelma Jackson Thompson Luther, age 102, formerly of High Pines Road, Asheboro, NC died Wednesday, December 21 at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Asheboro. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 23 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Jack Luther and Rev. Jamie Draughn. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends the family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home. Mrs. Luther was born May 4, 1914 in Rowan County to John Wilson Jackson and Ida Lou Eagle Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She was married to Kin Thompson who died September 3, 1967. She later married Hal Luther who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by step-son, Baxter Luther, by brothers, G. Wesley Jackson, Louie Jackson, William Eli Jackson, Ralph Jackson, Manteo Jackson and J. David Jackson and by a sister Ruby J Page. She is survived by stepdaughters Evelyn Barber of Cary and Doris McQuigan and husband Bob of Asheville, and a step-daughter-in-law Rosie Luther of Jacksonville, Fla.
