Terry Vernon Johnson, age 57, of Volunteer Rescue Road, Denton died Tuesday morning, March 6 from injuries received in a vehicle accident. Funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be 11:00 am Friday, March 9 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:30 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Volunteer Rescue Road. Mr. Johnson was born May 25, 1954 in Davidson County to Vernon Hoyt and Nellie Frances Ball Johnson. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Penny Wilson Johnson of the home, one son, Jacob (Jake) Vernon Johnson, and two daughters, Jodi Leigh Johnson and Lori Beth Johnson, all of the home. He is also survived by two brothers, Nathan Johnson and wife Dawn of Denton and Alton Johnson of Wilton, Connecticut, two sisters, Carolyn Cagle and husband Harold and Fonda Jackson and husband Tony, all of Denton, one grandchild Terry (T.
