Taking care of his cats and feeding the birds brought him a lot of pleasure. Terry's health began to decline due to a previous lung cancer diagnosis in 1990. He rebounded and lived a pretty full life. In 2017 his health began a slow decline. Due to his many rebounds, one of his physicians called him, "Miracle Man".
