Tammy Lynn Westmoreland Queen, 56, of Tysinger Rd., Denton, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Memorial Service will be 12:00 PM Noon on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Smyrna Grove Community Church, with Pastor Danny Graham officiating. Born in Davidson County on February 15, 1965, she was the daughter of Paul and Deidra Hazelwood Westmoreland. Tammy was the Apartment Manager at Fiddler’s Creek Apartments in Winston-Salem and a member of Smyrna Grove Community Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deidra Hazelwood Westmoreland. Tammy is survived by her husband, Ricky Queen of the home; 2 daughters, Michelle Queen and Destanie Strickland, both of Denton; her father, Paul Westmoreland of Denton; 2 brothers, Anthony Westmoreland of Southmont and Scott Westmoreland of Thomasville; sister, Melanie Jenkins of Thomasville; 3 Grandchildren, Alivia Kilby, Mason Strickland and Logan Strickland. Memorial Contributions to aid in Colon Cancer Research may be made to: Colon Cancer Coalition, 5666 Lincoln Dr., #270, Edina, MN 55436 Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is assisting the Queen Family with arrangements.
