Susan Kay Surratt

Susan Kay Surratt, 75, formerly of South Main St., Denton passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, January 13, at Lick Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Susan was born May 29, 1948, in Davidson County, NC to Robert Lee Surratt and Cleo Phelps Surratt. She had earned her master’s degree of Social Work from Appalachian State University and had been employed with Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton until a decline in health. In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Jerry Lee Surratt.

She is survived by 3 nieces and great nieces and great nephews.
