Sue Campbell Myers

Sue C. Myers of Candor, NC went home to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of Friday, August 7, 2020. Born March 9, 1938 in Fayetteville, NC to Bernard A. Campbell and Maude W. Campbell, the third of five children. Sue attended Worth Business College in Fayetteville obtaining degrees in Secretarial Sciences and Accounting. Sue spent many years travelling the United States with her husband George Myers while working in the hospitality industry as a bookkeeper and manager. She talked about traveling to Scotland, as she was proud of her Scottish heritage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wade Coats, and four siblings: Sarah Campbell Nave, Bernard "Jack" Campbell Jr., John Campbell, and Raymond Campbell. She is survived by two stepchildren: Gary Myers (Sandra) of Mount Airy, NC and Beth Herron (Scott) of Chapin, SC. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda, Megan, Michael, and Andrew, several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her precious furry four-legged “babies”, Miss Pepper and Little Bit, whom she absolutely adored. A Graveside Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2020 at Candor Cemetery. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society in care of Sally Morris, 1150 Okeewemee Rd, Troy, NC or to the Candor Police Department. The family would like to thank the close-knit community of Candor for their love, support, and care for Sue over the years. The family will receive friends at the home.
