Steve Davis

Mr. James Steven (Steve) Davis, age 76 of Crystal Bay Drive, Denton, NC died Tuesday, September 17 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 21 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Benny Clodfelter.  Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will see friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born April 23, 1943 in Davidson County to J. T. Davis and Edna Morris Davis.  He was a graduate of Denton High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He was a retired Systems engineer with Lockheed Martin Company in Sunnyvale California.  He was a member of Central United Methodist. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Jean Davis and by his parents. He is survived by his wife Kathy Creech Davis of the home; a son, Brett Matthew Davis of Denton; step-sons, Larry Moretz, Jr. of Charlotte, Charles Moretz and wife Jennifer of Huntersville, and Phillip Leonard and wife Sharen of Lexington; a step-daughter Brooke Hicks and husband Isaac of Sophia; brother David Davis and wife Sandra of Durham; sister Janice Davis Baldwin of Denton and 6 grandchildren.
