Sidney Absher

Sidney Edward Absher, age 55, of Old Camp Rd., Denton died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his residence following a lengthy illness. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 10 at Pleasant Garden Pentecostal Holiness Church 5201 Davis Mill Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406 conducted by Rev. Daniel Absher, Rev. Mike Mallory, Rev. Danny Ball. Interment will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Old Camp Rd. Mr. Absher was born July 18, 1955 in Tazewell County, VA. To Freeman Edward Absher and Joann Mallory Absher. He was a Truck Driver and a veteran of the US Army. He was Preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, wife Teresa Rambo Absher of the home, daughters; Scotty Absher Vestal of Asheboro and Joni Absher Wood of Denton, brothers; Scott Absher of VA., Timothy Absher of Denton, sister; Mary Timmons of Denton, and grandchildren; Olivia, Noah, and Grace.
