Sherman Thomas Berrier

Mr. Sherman Thomas Berrier, 83, of Vanhoy Drive, Denton passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Claudie Harrison presiding. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to the funeral service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

Mr. Berrier was born July 20, 1935 in Davidson County to Wade Philip Berrier and Ester Elizabeth Byerly Berrier. He was a member of Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church and had worked for Acme Poultry Company. In addition to his parents Sherman was also preceded in death by a son, Clarence Thomas Berrier and by his 13 siblings.

Sherman is survived by his wife, Peggie Vanhoy Berrier of the home; son, Coy Berrier of Denton; daughter Sherra Berrier Bodenhamer of Denton; 5 grandsons; and 4 great-grandchildren.
