Service for Mrs. McDowell will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 8 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Gobble officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. McDowell was born July 13, 1944 in Davidson County to Cleon and Mattie Harrison Loflin. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Roy E. McDowell of the home, one daughter, Annette Moore of Denton, one brother, Jesse James Loflin of Star, One sister Dorothy Parnell of Denton and two grandchildren. .
