Shelby Cranford

Mrs. Shelby Davis Cranford, age 78, of NC Highway 8 of Denton passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC. A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington with Rev. Chris Motley presiding. Mrs. Cranford was born on September 13, 1941 in Davidson County to Charlie Dan Davis and Clara Owen Davis.  She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents Shelby was also preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Miles, Ray Davis, Joann Prevette, Peggy Michael and Kathie Byerly. Shelby is survived by her husband Walter Cranford of the home; daughters, Gail Hunt (Richard) of Denton, Vickie Smith (Donnie) of Concord, Diane Burnett (Jerry) and Donna Chaffin of Lexington; sons, Dell Prevette of Denton, Danny Joe Prevette and David Prevette of Lexington; sister, Jean D. Dishmon of Lexington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Briggs Funeral Home is serving the family.
