Sheila "Grammy" Russell Skeen

Sheila “Grammy” Russell Skeen, 76, of Gravel Hill Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Chipps officiating. The family will be meeting at the residence on Gravel Hill Rd.

Mrs. Skeen was born on August 17, 1947, in Stanly County to Elsie Russell and Anne Medlin Russell. She was a graduate of Denton High School the class of 1965, a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church, and had worked as a frame builder. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Skeen of the home; daughters, Shonda Skeen Freeman of Asheboro and Kristi Skeen Routh of Denton; brother, Michael Russell of Denton; sister, Emily Russell Nance of Denton; and 3 grandchildren, Emma Freeman of Asheboro, Luke Routh and Coleman Routh both of Denton.

Memorials can be made to Gravel Hill Baptist Church or to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
