Sharon Dorsett Bean

Sharon Lynn Dorsett Bean, 67, of Lick Creek Church Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Lexington Medical Center.

A service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 2:00 p.m. Lick Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Kiger and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Lick Creek Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at the home of Chris and Shannon Bean on Newsom Lane

Sharon was born on March 7, 1957, in Davidson County to Elzie Lee Dorsett and Vernelle Leonard Dorsett. She had previously worked for Burlington Industries for 21 years and later attend Davidson County Community College and went to work in the office of Alcoa Aluminum for 26 years. As a lover of all animals Sharon was especially fond of her dogs and cat.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Dorsett and her brother Buddie Dorsett.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Joe Bean of the home; son, Chris Bean and his wife Shannon of Denton; sister, Jeanette Klass of Lexington; granddaughter, Britney Collins and her husband Matt; and 2 great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Rowyn.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to an organization of the donor’s choice in memory of Sharon.
