Sgt. Sergio Daniel Cano, 24, of Oceanside CA, died Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Oceanside. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church, with Father Ricardo Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow in the Candor Cemetery. Born in Moore County on August 28, 1999, he was the son of Anabel Garcia Alvarado and Sergio Cano Lopez. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, Sergio is survived by a brother, Edgar Cano of Biscoe. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
