Scott Owens

William Scott Owens, age 45, of Denton died Wednesday, January 21 at his residence. There will be no service. Mr. Owens was born March 14, 1963 in Randolph County to Mozell and Mary Bradshaw Owens. He had worked at Thermo Products and was a member of High Rock Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Cole Owens. Mr. Owens is survived by his parents, a son, Calem Scott Owens of the home and his fiancé Stephanie Bailey, a brother Mitchell Lynn Owens and wife Renea of Denton and one grandchild, Cayley Rose Owens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on East 2nd St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.
