Scarlett M. Leach

Ms. Scarlett Malinda Leach, 79, of Leach Rd. Candor passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held at Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Sunday January 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Wayne Luck. Ms. Leach will lie in state at Briggs Candor Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Scarlett was born August 2, 1941, in Montgomery County to Ervin Leach and Ollie Settle Leach. She was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church. Scarlett worked at Eckerd Youth Alternative as an administrative assistant and also for many years at Blake Restaurant in Candor as a waitress. In addition to her parents, Scarlett was also preceded in death by a brother, James W. Leach, and a sister, Sara Leach Thompson.

She is survived by a sister, Becky Roach and husband Corky of Albemarle; her loving pet dog companion Holly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
