Sarilla Wright

Ms. Sarilla Winkler Wright age 94, formerly of Cid Rd., Lexington passed away on Saturday, August 05, 2017 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm on Thursday, Aug. 10 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. David Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the church prior to the service. Sarilla was born March 1, 1923 Thomas Winkler, Sr. and Mamie Jenkins Winkler of Catawba County. She worked as a seamstress in the hosiery industry. She was very active in the Eastern Star and Liberty Baptist Church where she was a member. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Wright and daughter, Janice Gallimore. Surviving are daughters, Nancy Wright Drozd of Lexington and Ruth Elaine Wright of High Point; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
